On the closure of Small Press Distribution (SPD)

Like so many other small presses we were burned by the recent (sudden) closure of SPD. It was clear they were struggling (our most recent titles were shown to be in stock but no one could actually purchase those titles) and SPD would not respond to our emails in the last several months and certainly will not respond now. Also like so many other presses we had hundreds of books in their warehouse(s) (we sent the last two boxes to an address in Ypsilanti, and had been informed others were being moved there). Fortunately, we do have plenty of books available to ship out of our offices in South Bend. Please go to “Our Books” on our website and buy our titles through our bookstore (always a good choice–we send them out very quickly) while we try to figure out what to do next. Thank you.
