Christine Garren

Christine Garren received her B.A. and M.F.A. from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. Her first book of poems, Afterworld, was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for poetry. Her other poetry collections include The Piercing, Among the Monarchs, and the limited print chapbook, The Difficult Here. A Los Angeles Times Book Award finalist and a NEA Fellowship recipient, she was born in Philadelphia and has lived in Greensboro, North Carolina, since 1979.
